Why do I illustrate the Bible?
“For many people, the Bible is a closed book. They know it’s famous, yet they don’t read it because it seems to be shrouded in an aura of complexity. I want to bring the Bible to life with just a few strokes of a pen. I capture what the text does for me in a single image and want to share it with others. We can read the Bible like children: curious, open-minded, and full of anticipation. That is why the illustrations are childlike and simple.”
